King Of The Sun

from Spook Frequency by Villareal

/

about

'King Of The Sun' radically altered when producer Phil Vinal got a hold of it in the studio. Some people like this version and some prefer the demo. I will dig it out and upload at some point so YOU can see hear for yourself.
For the record, I prefer this version as I actually sing in tune (just about!)

We played this when we supported Mew, and i remember it went down really well. I love Mew.

lyrics

There's a part of me that always wants to talk on the phone
But there's a side to me that really wants to be left alone

Lost in a maze fade away...

There's a memory of summer's hiding out with my friends
But now there's mystery cos no one told us friendships could end

All through this lifetime
Year after year
Lost in a maze fade away

Chorus

When you're King of the sun
You share the world with no one
And if I try will I make it next time?
Can I be King of the sun?

Repeat Chorus
