Illuminate Me

from Blue Snakes by Villareal

/

about

'Illuminate Me' is one of my fave tracks on the album...but I think I was alone in this...it has some deft touches that still surprise me. And a neat reference to The Posies ('Frosting on the Beater' is STILL one of my fave albums)
Long since forgotten how to play this song though...

lyrics

She has that solar sister glow
But I've still got far to go to get home
To the place where it began
Colour changed and pattern ran
But every day I'm gathering clues
Picking up the pieces of me...and you

Chorus

Deep inside, buried in time
A memory of your face
Desire-illuminate me and take me to that place

Light me way back every time

She has an elemental smile
Makes it rain in her own style
I was free so I went from A to B
I found myself I'm all at C
But every day I'm gathering clues
Picking up the piece of me...and you

Repeat Chorus

The truth it shows when Everything is in slo-mo
My world remains so lost in space
And I cant say but I think about it every day
The world remains so lost in space
